Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her most well-known character was in the role of Skyler in the drama series of AMC, Breaking Bad. She won Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Performance in Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played include Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She fell in love performing in Preparatory School prior to moving to Ohio with her family in mid-70s. She attended the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student through Northwestern University. Anna was employed by the theater in the Chicago area for several years, before attempting her luck in TV and film roles. Anna was chosen to play Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode show Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Anna was later cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons on Deadwood's season two. In 2008, she was picked in the role of Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood was a different film that she appeared in. Gunn has also appeared on the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was made available in 2022. The relationship with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and its eventual demise arguably similar to the arc that was Walter White's final years of his life.
