Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman published widely and has won numerous grants, and was awarded many national and international distinctions. She has advised many authorities and government agencies around the globe on policies as well as research related to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She is also a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
